Further Information about LSP

LSP System Configuration

Material Definition:

You can define virtually any material, from a simple cardboard box up to pre-stressed bridge beams. All you do is tell LSP what attributes (constituents and measurements) and LSP builds the relevant database tables, menu options and data entry screens for you - automatically. [See screenshot]

All you do is tell LSP about the things that you want to measure, together with any default specification limits. [See screenshot]

[See screenshot - source][See screenshot - job]You also need to tell LSP about your different aggregate types, suppliers, contractors, jobs and samplers. LSP helps you keep tabs on them all. All of this is achieved quickly and easily.

If required you can also tell LSP about any small changes to standard specifications. There are two ways to enter a variation to a specification.

Firstly, small tweaks to odd material attributes where you enter the material, aggregate, date, attribute (E.g. binder content) and an optional batching plant, followed by the new specification limits. [See screenshot]

Secondly, wholesale changes to a complete standard. For example, BS to Euro Spec, or 2Omm Dense Base Course may have a new sieve added into the specification. It's still called 2Omm DBC, but after the given date, the new sieve will be included in any data entry and analysis options for that material.

Any engineer will know that specifications (BS or your own) vary over time, so LSP can be told about specification variations occur and from what date. LSP then automatically applies them to the right results based on the given date. Tell it once and LSP does the rest. [See screenshot]

Many contracts are now based on individual supplier variations to material specifications. LSP can now be told about all these differences and use them automatically.
